December 2008 - The repeater is still giving the club a problem, so it has been reduced in power, and relocated at the clubhouse on Kelley Avenue, until the demons can be excised.

September 2008 - Site visit was performed.  Removed a few suspect objects from the feedline system and quickly found that the problem still exists.  Need to do more research to determine what is affecting our repeater so badly.  

July 2008 - W1AQ/R Problems - The repeater returned to service in August and had no major issues until this month; oddly enough the transmit and receive sensitivity are adversely affected. Please bear with us as we work through these growing pains!

August 2007 - During the months of July and August, we begin to experience lockups with the repeaters.  Our routine maintenance would lock up the repeater, on transmit, and all communication with it would be lost. During one point, it locked on transmit, without passing audio, for 4 days.  On another try one day later, it locked up again, but this time passing audio. It remained like that for 5 more days until the controller was pulled.   The repeater manufacture offered to update all the firmware in it.  It has been a long road, one that will be complete when the repeater comes back to the air on September 14, 2007

 APRIL 2007 - IRLP returned to the repeater, thanks to the efforts of K1JI, K2BUI, N3LEE, and of course K1JBP for hosting this monster.  Shortly after bringing the IRLP machine up, K1JBP and N3LEE changed the scripting to enable EchoIRLP, replacing the stand-alone Echolink that was put on the repeater in April 2005 (also originally hosted by K1JBP).

FEBURARY 2007 - Large make-over for the radio room by N3LEE / K1JEN , to include digital modes and CAT control for the HF station.   

JULY 2006 - After a good service run, the new W1AQ repeater is installed.  New features a new voice controller, multiple PLS tones for IRLP, Echolink, and regular repeater use.

JUNE 2006 - Field Day 2006 was held at the East Providence Fire training Field on 24th and the 25th.  Echolink left open for stations to contact W1AQ on 2 meters.  It rained all weekend, but our new tent worked out beautifully.  IRLP is having problems, and currently working on getting it back to operation.

APRIL 2005 - Echolink was put on the repeater (147.330) after being on our 441.750 machine for a while.  It was voted to have it on the machine, as long as certain restrictions were met proposed by the trustee.  The link is located at K1JBP's location in West Warwick.
